Ok, we roll into Nashville this Tuesday, Sept. 25th for the 33rd night of the 50 States in 50 Days tour. We will broadcast live from 16Ton Studios on 16th Avenue. There are 30 spaces for a “studio audience”………reception at 5:30pm with potluck food, and drinks……….Ruth Trimble and I will play at 6:30pm sharp.
Think VH1 unplugged…..there will be some special guests dropping in like Mike McAdam and a few others. We will live webcast as well…….you can tune in via Ustream.tv. Echo Garrett will also be on hand to sign copies of My Orange Duffel Bag a Journey to Radical Change. So, reserve your space (there are only room for 30), come, bring a folding chair if you have one……enjoy some food and drinks, say hello……and settle in for the “house concert”…………there is a $20 suggested donation, but come and give what you can.
Also, if you know someone that aged out of foster care that would be willing to be interviewed for the documentary, then get in touch!?!?

Last night we played the 24th night of the 50 States in 50 Days tour at Cafe Nomad in Norway, Maine. Great people. I arrived to an interview with a lady named Carol Welsh…….formerly a foster child, and now fosters. She is in her mid-60’s and wrote a book called “360 Square”………so grateful for the interview. This tour has been a tough one, so getting interviews like this one put the wind back in my sails. (Let me know if you know someone that aged out of foster care in the remaining states?)
Tonight, we will play the 24th show somewhere in New Hampshire. We will broadcast live on Ustream.tv at 5:30pm. I’m fired up to try the new Yeti mic I bought in New York City at B&H. It should improve the sound greatly.

So, New York, as usual was a whirlwind…….interviewed Supermodel and NYT best selling author Carol Alt, who has become activated for foster kids after reading My Orange Duffel Bag-A Journey to Radical Change…..saw many Facebook friends, made some new friends, and then hightailed it back to Connecticut.
Just woke up and now we are rolling to the 22nd night of this year’s 50 States in 50 Days tour in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.
Tonight’s show will take place at The Base at the Martha’s Vineyard YMCA. It will benefit the Orange Duffel Bag Foundation and Alice’s Place. The Orange Duffel Bag Foundation helps kids aging out of foster care. 80% go homeless within the first six months. Crazy.
Anyway, the evening is hosted by two of my favorite ladies…….Kate Taylor and Ali Berlow. I’ve been begging Kate to sing a song or two on the night, too. Here is the Facebook Event Invite for the evening. If you are looking for music tonight in Martha’s Vineyard………we will be there doing our best.
